Lancer Library Guidelines:
Library Hours: 7:00-3:30 on school days.
ACADEMIC ENVIRONMENT
In order to provide the proper study environment for everyone using the library, students are expected to abide by the following rules.
Students will study quietly and with regard for each other.
Students will not bring food or drink into the library.
During the school day students will bring appropriate passes, signed by their teacher, and sign in at the Front Desk.
Printing

All print jobs are paid for and picked up at the Front Desk.

All print jobs are black-and-white only. No color printing is available.
Word Processing
- All computers provide MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Disks brought from home must be IBM formatted and virus-free.
- Disks may be purchased at the Front Desk for $.50
Photo Copying .10cents a page
1. All photocopy jobs are black-and-white only. No color photocopying is available.
2. Disks brought from home must be IBM formatted and virus-free.
3. Photocopiers do not give change!
Checking Out Books
- Students will check out books with their picture ID card.
- Three books may be checked out for three weeks each
.
- Renew books on or before the DUE DATE stamped inside each book.
- CD's are for overnight checkout only.
PRINT RESOURCES
Books:
The library has about 16,000 books including fiction, paperbacks, non-fiction, and Reference books. Location- Fiction books are arranged by the author's last name in the Fiction section. Paperbacks are arranged by genre: classics, mystery, science fiction, adventure, romance and miscellaneous. Non-fiction is arranged by the the Dewey Decimal System followed by the first three letters of the author's last name. Reference books have a yellow sticker on the spine and may not be checked out.
Magazines
Subscriptions to 39 magazines- including Business Week, Life, National Geographic Time, U.S. News & World Report. Magazines may not be checked out.
